Okay, technically I know it's barely still September. Still, the prediction for FROST tonight took me by surprise. I was practically in tears clipping down all my basil plants when I had expected they'd have two more weeks of growing. :(
The "perfect" ending to a "perfect" growing season. :mad:

'pull the trigger' as it were, on all my lovely basil. Tomorrow, the great pesto-making marathon begins! (Put all the basil cuttings in glasses, buckets, vases all over the house before leaving town. The house did smell wonderful when we got back this evening!)
