orders. So far we have not had that problem. My biggest worry about any company is the genetically modified plants. Am I getting them without really knowing it? I also worry about that if I buy from a local greenhouse.

Johnny's is the gold standard for varieties and germination rates. I love to phone them for advice. I have purchased from Harris and I like them.
I have heard Stokes recommended, because they have a good quality program.
Harris and Stokes are in the upstate NY area, Rochester, I think.
You should be happy with seed companies who serve the north. You would have to live south of Pennsylvania to want to use the southern seed companies.
