| Late season container tomatos |
|
I live on the Gulf and have recently planted containers of Celebrity tomatos. Is it too late in the season to get a harvest? I'm not growing from seeds but from small plants.
One final question - what temperatures do the flowers need to blossomand form the fruit? All advice appreciated!! Thanks!

How soon before you get freezing temperatures? You may find some information on your state extension service website about growing tomatoes in your area. Your tax dollars pay for the extension service so you might as well make good use of them.

| 5. Your plants will stop putting out new fruit before the frost |
|
because of decreased day length. You do have a long enough season left to get at least one good flush.
Good luck!
