What's eating my tomatoes?

We have a nice garden going, however, something is eating 2 of my plants. IT doesn't like the grape tomatoes, only the larger ones.

Any ideas? It is definitely not bugs...

I think it's a possum.

2. I have deer eating mine. Fruit and plants, odd.

3. no real evidence

of broken branches on the plants. But we have a fenced in, 15X18 townhouse backyard. My fiance just came home with 8 feet of screen and 2x4s....she's on a mission.

4. Squirrels or Chipmunks

Could also be the culprits.

6. Fox squirrels eat my tomatoes.

They'll chomp into anything that looks like a juicy fruit. Plums, peaches and tomatoes are their favorites in my yard. They take one or two bites and move on to the next one. I think raccoons might eat them too but I've seen the foolish squirrels foraging.

If the tomato looks like some one stuck a knife in it then jays or mockingbirds may be the culprits.

10. They eat bird seed all the time

Just ask anyone trying to keep them out of their bird feeders.
