| I caved... I hired a tree service... |
|
I have too many trees now...and I am fearful of losing them...so I hired a tree service to feed, prune and protect my ash tree from the emerald ash borer...
The tree service is very professional and knowledgeable.....I am so busy with my regular upkeep that taking care of the trees became overwhelming...

| 1. Trees are a lot of work |
|
Mine are in constant need of trimming. One to keep it away from the house and one to trim it back so it doesn't hang too low over the street and sidewalk. Plus the non-stop cleanup of the giant willow in the back yard. It's beautiful, but very messy.

| 2. I hire a service to spray this one tree for insects |
|
Can't do it alone; it's way too big. What these guys do in five minutes can't be done by non-professionals in three hours. They can get the right insecticides and have the equipment to put it on the trees.
I don't blame you a bit. What are they doing re the emerald ash borer. Are they injecting the tree?

| 3. they injected a chemical into the ground that the tree will take up |
|
into its roots..
It will basically not harm the tree ...but kill the EAB larvae..if they decide to munch on it..
This tree is the largest and prettiest tree on my property...I decided it was worth it to me to save it at least for a few years...
