We feed the birds//squirrels all the time. Lately my neighbors let their chickens roam around the neighborhood, since we also put corn out for the deers, the chickens found it last week,we shoot the .22 above them and they scattered a couple of times, but now if I shoot now, they pay no attention.
When I walked in the woods today I noticed all the places they had been scratching. I'm sure they are not good for the forest.
BTW When I drive by there house, their yard is...well...dirt, just dirt, no grass anywhere.

| 2. You should talk to the neighbor about the chickens. |

They are NOT native to you forest, are harmful and should not be on your land. They MUST keep them in a movable of stationary coup, on their own land. Free range ain't free, so the least they should do is share the eggs! If they aren't forthcoming mail them a Certified Letter and warn them. They could be "fried chickens" if they don't.
