| No zucchini's on zucchini plants. |
|
I'm confused. There have been many flowers, but it seems like the flowers just fall off and don't form any zucchini. They are called "bush zucchini" plants Now it looks like the pumpkins are doing the same thing.
I might mention that this is the my first attempt at growing anything but tomatoes, which went swimmingly last year...bumper crop.
Any advice would be appreciated! :)

There may be something here to help you. This is diagnostic information for cucurbits (squash, cukes, gourds, etc.) http://vegetablemdonline.ppath.cornell.edu/DiagnosticKeys/CucKey.html

| 2. Are these the first few weeks of blossoms? |
|
If the plants look healthy, just give them time. Squashes have male and female flowers. Sometimes when the plant is young only one type of blossom is produced. Without both types, pollination can't occur. Early flowers are often all male. If you had all female blossoms it would be even more frustrating, because the fruit would form and then wither away when just a few inches long.

cool. I grew some things years ago where it was benificial to eliminate all the males. The female would still "bud" but there would be less seeds inside the buds.
I see the similarity. Awesome!
