I just posted over there, where the current flap is over ABC Sucks vs. Obama Lost, trying to make the point that last night's debate sounds exactly like GD-P. I think they doth protest too much.

2. Interesting phenomena

When things are going well for one's candidate..its all because of the keyboard warrior bloggers here in GDP/DU. But when its not going well..its just a message board and there is no connection with the real world.
Nobody wants to take responsibility for their own bad behavior. Its the Obamabots fault! No, its the Hilbots. No its only disruptors!! Blah blah blah. I've been trying to stay out of GDP because there are several people I have known elsewhere on DU whom I had viewed as reasonabily rational people who seem to have lost their fucking minds...x(

3. That place is hopeless.

I performed a little experiment in there this morning. Since everyone was so furious about the lack of substance in the debate last night, I went off looking for a short, succinct news article comparing and contrasting the candidates' economic policies and appearances where they spoke about economics (which is, according to the polls, the biggest issue in PA.) The Guardian had a good summary piece. I posted it as a thread in GD-P where after 60 minutes it had sunk into oblivion with zero responses and only 21 views.

One hour later I posted a bullshit thread with the following title:

*******NEW REVEREND WRIGHT STATEMENTS UNEARTHED*******

This thread achieved 21 views within one minute of being posted.

The problem with GD-P is that there are occasionally real nuggets of gold in amongst the poop, but it's just far too easy to get involved in the poop. I think I may stay away for a while.
