Despite the fact that I'm enjoying work, feeling pretty good symtomwise AND being on the potent cancer drug, alpha- interferon, I discovered today that my platelet counts went up again!
Doesn't that stupid bone marrow of mine know its supposed to listen to my moods?! SHEESH.


Seriously, its a bit scary to know that my disease can continue to be out of control, and I wouldn't know it...except for perhaps suddenly having a major bleeding event! Now I am going to both increase the interferon and GO BACK on the hydoxyurea (chemo drug).

Seriously though...I'm sad to hear the news about your health, that sux!!

No it wont listen to moods but someone up-thread made a good point, although the moods wont stop the disease if you can stay positive, focus on what is good right now (a lesson I have difficulty remembering myself most times) at least you will be happier and be better able to deal with the tough stuff.

You strike me as a person of good character and good sense, you'll get through.
