We just picked up a new baby reference book for our upcoming family addition

It's called Baby 411. It's really good, rational and clearly written.

Best of all, guess who they used on their advisory board as a vaccination authority?

Needless to say, the section on vaccinations lays out the rationale for vaccinating your kid in very easy to understand terms, with sections on the autism and mercury controversies that explain why those controversies have no merit.

Have to give this one a thumbs up.

called "Germ Proofing Your Kids" published by ASM (American Society for Microbiology) that also went into the anti vax claims.

Or... hmmm... does what the baby believes about his/her own health take precedence over what the parents believe? If the parents take precedence, does one parent exert more control, or is it like a psychic vote? A psychic compromise? Does each parent have their own separate world with their own possibly different version of the same baby in it, each experiencing different health issues according to the specific reality-owning parent? Is there a cut-over age when the kids take over for themselves? :crazy: :eyes: :evilgrin:

than we did in ours. I swear, the classes we took, the books we read, they prepared us for virtually nothing. We had to learn it all as we went along. Baptism by fire, as they say.

But I'm glad to hear that the educated minds are making sure the facts about vaccination are available. There is so much ignorant fearmongering.
