Ideas wanted for brain experiements (Brian Dunning want to experiment on your brain!)

How is it possible to affect your brain?
We're making an episode of a new web series on promoting critical thinking and need a visual demonstration of some method that can produce a measurable change in the brain.

We need to induce a sensation, or anything, that can be evidenced somehow. Pretty broad criteria. Here are the requirements:

- It has to be SAFE.

- It has to be LEGAL.

- It has to be AFFORDABLE. We probably don't have the budget for an fMRI or an EEG (unless someone in the So Cal area can hook us up with that!)

- And of course, the COOLER and MORE INTERESTING the better!!!

Any suggestions?
