So what's the downside of getting a flu shot? Granted, they don't always work because sometimes they prepare for the wrong strain. But what does one lose by trying it anyway? $10? Seems like a small risk when the payout is not getting the goddamn flu!

Oh and considering that they've shown that pregnant women are having a higher fatality rate with H1N1 they better quit with this bullshit because I see mandatory shots coming if it gets bad in the fall

I never understood the opposition to it. Has there been any real research on "The only year I got the flu is the year I got the vaccine" anecdotes? I think the results would be really interesting.
