addlepated that I just let it lie there like a fish that's been dead a little too long.
Some things are so stupid out of the starting gate that they require no comment.
I would bet, however, that the poster earns his or her daily bread by writing out astrology charts for woo heads with more money than brains.

| 5. Any of y'all read the Kim Stanley Robinson "Red Mars" trilogy? |
|
There was a major recurring subplot about the rivalry between "reds" and everyone else interested in terraforming (an idea I've seen plenty in fiction since, but don't recall having seen before). The reds of course wanted to leave Mars in its natural state as much as possible for not much reason other than religious-woos who believed the planet was "spiritualy" alive and geologists (areologists) who liked the rocks.
Peraonlly, my only problem with the moon shot is one of anger: I'm a little pissed we didn't use a bigger bomb. We've got all these nukes sitting around doing no good for anybody, so we might as well use a few to make the world's biggest firecracker. Some of you will be tempted to mock, but I guarantee that if i were in charge of NASA, the space program would reach never-seen-before heights of popularity.

that a good place to get rid of nuclear waste would be to send it to the sun. They flipped out."How dare you pollute the sun like that."

However, I do fully support nuking Venus. Anything that could survive on that surface has to be evil.
