This reminded me of the "choosing your evidence" piece.

2. they made a mistake on one of their illustrations

iirc, the one from the side. One of the big issues with the Shroud, to me, is the anatomy. The back shows the elbows resting on the ground. The front shows the hands over the groin. I don't see how that's physically possible, the forearms would have to be too long. The illustration in that article shows the elbows off the ground.

That does seem to indicate a problem with the anatomy. I have long arms for my body size, and I can't come close to covering my groin with my elbows on the floor. Not to mention that the whole covering the groin thing, makes one suspicious to begin with.
