Tip: Never try to reason with a Peak Oil Doomer.

They:

1) Act like all the oil is about to suddenly run out, even though they insist they understand that the drop in production is gradual.

2) Don't understand basic physics, something I learned from posting on a PO board a while back. One of the mods kept on insisting that the Earth is a thermodynamically closed system (what about the Sun?) and conflated energy and resources.

3)Insist that the transition itself must be done by oil-free means, as if all the oil were going to suddenly run out (see 1).

4) Go on and on about how much stuff we used is made from oil and then connect that with #3, as if, again, all the oil is suddenly going to run out.

5) Assume that Big Oil will never let our society move to electric vehicles, as if all the rest of the Corporate Elite will just sit there and let Big Oil screw THEM over!
