It's TV, and it's clearly in the Mythbusters tradition, so it'll be hyper-sensationalized but I don't think Phil would give in to the temptation of fear mongering just for the sake of getting his own TV show (or ratings).

A show about science on the Discovery channel -- whoda thunk it? It boggles the mind, but it does seem like they're getting the right number (a lot!) of explosions in it so I wouldn't worry too much about people having to learn math or anything.

They only show crap on that channel anymore.
