Looking for the name of an old film: One of the main characters

was Ginger Rogers, she was married and there was a younger woman. This woman did something, it was misinterpreted by the others, and Ginger Rogers called her a rotten creep or something to that effect. Anyone know this movie? It was from the late 40's or early 50's. Thanks, Schmuls
