You guys only play for 3 or 4 hours
Yesterday, one of my musical partners and I gave a continuous 8 hour performance. "Overtime: Weekend Work" was a performance installation we staged in a local shop window from noon to 8 pm in a faux office environment. Based on the metapostism theories of work, leisure, and ritual. We were such dedicated workers that we even ate lunch at our desk! We were pleased with both the execution and the reception. Next up is "Night Work" in the same location, but from midnight until 8am

in a faux office enviroment (wearing ties at a desk, coffee mugs, the all-important clock on the wall). While it was a mockery of/reference to a work enviroment, it wasn't really work because we had too much fun...and we didn't get paid! :)

7 pm to 2 am. I think our pay worked out to just about minimum wage, which at the time was $1.85 an hour. But we drank free tequila, so we were happy (and stupid, of course.)
