and a GenzBenz amp. This rounds out my collection of classical guitars, with a Kamouraska Etude and a Cordoba. Looking forward to futzing around with the amp.

For the price (I paid about $220 new) it's probably the greatest guitar in the world, handmade in Canada and all solid wood. The fingerboard is a bit narrower than standard and slimmer so I guess electric guitar players would find it an easier transition. It's a nice and well-made guitar, that even has an adjustable truss rod, but it seems to lack volume somewhat and has too dark a tone for my taste. I guess cedar topped guitars are not my cup of tea and I prefer spruce for its brighter tone. My LaPatie sounds best, I think, when I'm playing mellow laid-back Bossa Nova tunes.
My main guitar is a Mexican-made Montalvo Flamenco negra with cutaway, with a spruce top that has a versatile mellow sound with enough brightness for me. It sounds good with classical pieces, jazz, bossas, or pop. The only problem has been the longer scale length of 664 mm, which took me awhile to find comfortable, as my fingers are maybe slightly shorter than average.

Nylon string is one thing i don't have. Not sure i have a compelling need, though. Used to have a cheapie, but it was truly just kindling with strings. Sold it at a garage sale years ago. (Think i got $10)
Have fun with your new toys. The Professor
