| Excited about upcoming acoustic gig. |
|
For about a year now I have been played a "every other wednesday" acoustic gig at a local watering hole. There are 3 of us, myself on acoustic, another guy on acoustic and my oldest son on bass. I also have a full seven piece classic rock band that plays out every other month (It's all I want to do). Long story short, the keyboard player in the band (he's a doctor) also plays flute and wanted top sit in with us on an acoustic night. It's going to happen and the tunes we worked out are John Barleycorn, Going up the Country, and Thick as a Brick. I think it's to be a blast and Can't wait to see the crowds response. Had to share.

We've recently added a couple of mandolin songs and a Tull tune (Bouree) so i can play flute on one song. I've got an old, highly ornate accordion i got for free from someone, and we're going to incorporate that into the acoustic set too!
That's fun to do. Adding stuff to the show that nobody expects to here from an acoustic band. The Professor
