*IF* I can consummate a trade that's been in the works for a couple of weeks . . .

I'll be the proud new owner of a barely used Mac dual G4, Digi001 interface and a copy of ProTools LE for the studio.

Digital Performer, the MOTU 828 Mark whatever and my Powerbook just have not been working. The computer and DP almost never recognize the existence of my 828 anymore and "recording" has become a hugely frustrating techno jerk-off. I want a good rig that lets me set it up and leave it. Then, daily, when I'm ready to record or write, I can push the red button and let her rip without having to guide the frigging Space Shuttle through a troubled reentry every frigging time.

It's like having sex with a woman who routinely stops mid-coitus and wants to talk about her mother just about the time you get going...

Funny, I used to love DP and my 828.
