Hi I am RedTail Wolf
I just found these other forums on the DU. I have always been in the Lounge or the General discussion area. I never really explored the site enough. And you were here all the time. I am a guitarist. I have played for and sang in bands and solo for about 30 years with some breaks in there from time to time but I always found my way back to the music. I also review guitars for a magazine that has a national circulation. I love to talk about guitars almost as much as I enjoy playing them. Anyway I wanted to stop in and say hello.... "Hello!"
I'm glad someone finally told me there were other spots on the DU than just the political discussion areas. While I am very interested in the politics of my country, it's nice to know there is a place here to come to unwind and shoot the breeze about music and guitars.

Similar here,,, been playing since 67,,, in and out. I don't review guitars though. I played around Ohio in my early years, have done some jams since then, and just finished a CD in September.
Nice to know the older guitarists are still kicking. Seems like the passion never goes away !!!
If you want to check out some of what I do,,, www.cdbaby.com/bobspencer

Cool, welcome. One of my favorites too and I had the honor of working w/ them in the early-mid 90's on the business end! Thom Doucette who plays harp for them from time to time was even gracious enough on occasion to give me some pointers!

in Sept at the Fox in Atlanta. Well this configuration anyway. I had previously met Dickey Bets and Dan Toler who now play with Great Southern. I live in the town they started in. I had the privilege of meeting Duane and Berry as a kid working in a local guitar store. Took me from then 1970 till this year to meet Gregg , Jaimoe, and Butch Trucks. Huge fan of the current version of the band. Warren Haynes is a monster player and a sweet guy. Derek Trucks is so amazing at his age he will probably be one of the best that ever lived when he is done
Nice to meet you all

Glad to have another pro on this board (sadly, I've only been semi-pro :( ). It's especially good for us guitarists to have somebody on here who reviews them for a living!
Welcome and :hi:
