Looking for suggestions for a gift for my young grandson, who has just started taking trumpet lessons. CDs/DVDs of trumpet players or something else which will encourage him and expose him to possibilities to explore as he learns. He is 10.

. . .is a trumpet player. His brothers are actually both high school band directors and they both play with the Legion band in the town of 150,000 just north of me.
So, they're pretty serious about it. I'll ask him and get back to you. GAC

Hopefully, by Monday i'll have something for you.
Although someone did tell you some good names to know for a trumpet player.
Another name, and there is YouTube stuff on him. His name is Sandoval. I believe the first name is Arturo. He is one of those guys that can hit those superhigh notes with ease. There is a YouTube clip of him playing with Dizzy Gillespie. Really good. GAC
