| Hee Hee - I did something yesterday - |
|
and it felt soooo good:
Got home late yesterday afternoon and as I was ushering the kids in the door, the phone rang:
Me: Hello?
Caller: Can I speak to either Mrs. WFH or Mr. WFH?
Me: I'm Mrs. WFH
Caller: Great, I was wondering if you could answer a quite few survey questions?
Me: Sure, I just walked in the door, please give me a minute.
Caller: No problem.
I put down my son's book bag, my daughter's day care bag, my purse and coffee cup.
Me: Okay, how can I help you?
Caller: I was calling today to ask if you were going to vote to either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama on Tuesday, May 6 for the Democratic Primary?
Me: I am writing in John Edwards name.
Caller: Uh, well, let me ask you if you are planning on voting next Tuesday?
Me: I'm sorry, did I not make myself clear? I am voting on Tuesday and I am writing in John Edwards name on the ballet and I'm going to check that as my choice. Is That Clear?
Caller: Well, um thank you for your time.
Click.
Oooh, that felt sooooo good.
:D

to say - I should have engaged him further to see who's campaign he was from but I was aggravated. Aggravated because it was clear that he didn't understand that I didn't have a choice between the two.

I remember long ago getting a call from someone wanting me to donate to Obama's campaign. I said thanks, but I was supporting a primary opponent of Obama and therefore did not care to contribute to Obama at this time, but if Obama is the nominee, he could count on my vote in the general election against the Republicans. Instead of thanking me and hanging up, he launched into a speech about how there is no reason I could not donate to multiple campaigns. I thought about explaining that it would be a bit nutty of me to send money to someone trying to beat my favorite candidate (duh!), but decided it was hopeless.

I am doing the same in the GE! Thank God - or whatever powers that be - that there are still people like you who stand up for what they believe in. I am an Edwards Democrat and he will get my vote. There are no 'second best' candidates for me in this race.
Interesting that the pollster was taken aback that you weren't willing to settle for option A or option B. What? You aren't willing to march in lock-step?!

That must have felt great!
I voted for JRE on Super Tuesday, and currently plan to write him in during the general election. I just can't get myself to even consider voting for either of the two remaining candidates...

It was so much more fun around here last December and the first part of January. I hope you can stomach it! Just stay out of General Discussion Primaries. ;-)

I voted for J.E. here in AZ on Super Tuesday even though he was out of the running. I feel like writing him in in November, but so much can and will change by then I honestly can't say what I will do come November.

A revealing look into lying and cheating?
People so intent on making Obama look good they are willing to throw honesty out of the window?
A window into what kind of behavior is really behind the Obama campaign?
Your thoughts?

| 13. I'm also wondering if many of the old DU Edwards Democrats don't come here much, |
|
because option #3, the neither option, wasn't used much. I may be wrong, but I think a lot of Edwards Democrats are still undecided.

at this point no one else has EARNED my vote but John Edwards & no one else will get it but him. even in the GE. i refuse to vote for the lesser of two evils. that is just so much bullshit IMO.

It's up to 220 "previous Edwards Democrats" who have slid over to the empty "O".
That Obama, he sure is the one everybody wants! :sarcasm:

I appreciate that. Takes me back to the good days of the campaign when we were all fired up and ready to take this thing...all the way down the corporate-elite throats!
