TD Jakes...what do you think of him?

I think he is a sellout. He was featured on the Today Show this morning. He has sided with Bush on several occasions and the Today Show was quick to show a picture of the two together. He has been "blowin' up" as of late--and I don't think it's a coincidence that it's because of his association with these crooks. They are buying the allegiance of blacks by paying off people like TD Jakes and he should be accountable for taking this blood money. How can he side with a man who let his own people die in the streets of New Orleans? A man who sends our best off to die in an unjust war?

If you agree that he is a sellout, how do we let people who are fooled by him know about this?

I can't stand him. I used to have a certain amount of respect for him because of the work his ministry did with women. But after seeing him with the boy king,...bleh. :puke:

I don't think there is a way to show others or tell them about him. They will see what they want to see, when they want to see it, if ever. For some that are religious, they see little fault in their leaders, I'm not sure why.

I would think that seeing him with bush would speak volumns about him. Bush's people trotted him (jakes) out during the insanity of Katrina. The fact that jakes would allow himself to be used this way...shame on him.

People have to see this sort of thing for themselves, unfortunately. :(

I guess the bigger the church, the more prominent figure they are seen as, the more one may want to question their alliances.

There are a few pastors with large congregations and high public profiles that would never allow themselves to be used in such a way--Rev. Lowry comes to mind. :) He rocks!

But sadly, people like him are few and far between.
