but I see the standard evasive and change-the-subject replies. This from people that are generally progressive the rest of the time. I guess the line "Everyone is for diversity--until it sits next to them" is accurate.

2. Side effect of our racial caste system

where not-white equals not qualified/not worthy/not good/excluded. The circular process sets in when they say that "we haven't found any qualified not-white candidates" and they can say that because since not-white equals not qualified, they don't have to do anything or admit anything--until they're called on it.
