6. It's amazing ain't it? He's about to learn what O.J., Michael Vick,
Oprah, Serena Williams and others have learned firsthand. When white America turns on you, you can always come home. Some of us, when we achieve a certain degree of success, quickly forget our roots. All it takes is offending White America to make you remember where you came from. Here's hoping that Tiger will come back stronger than ever. He's a billionaire ferchrissakes, and though he may lose a couple of bucks, he'll be okay.

The golfing world will quickly learn that they only became as popular and as wealthy as they did because of Tiger.

9. Not only that
white America does NOT like being offended by POC and will remind you of where you came from.

15. As if the prison yard magazine cover pic wasn't bad enough...
http://media-newswire.com/release_1109335.html

A new Tiger Woods Vanity Fair cover photo showing a shirtless Tiger Woods wearing a ski cap and lifting two barbells is set to hit newsstands in the future. The picture according to reports was shot by Annie Leibovitz in 2006 and has not been seen in public until now.
.....

Of course the media would be opportunistic and try to cash in on a celebrity but it's not like he hasn't made press for other reason since 2006. They had plenty of other opportunities to capitalize on his name in the news by publishing these photos but instead they shelve them for years until he stops being a credit to his race.

Every high school athlete I knew that was "destined" to go pro or college sports star was in many ways sheltered from the real world and had a rude awakening when they faltered people turned on them. I've never followed his career but I get the sense he's going through the same thing right now. Hopefully he'll learn from all of this.

16. wow...2006!
I didn't read the article...I just saw that prison yard picture on another blog. If he doesn't learn from this situation he never will. He's been permanently dropped back into the 'black' slot and kicked out of the club he 'thought' he was in.

17. Good God, could they be ANY more obvious with that magazine cover??!
:wow: That is just downright amazing. I guess old boy went from clean-cut "Tiger" to "TIGER da GANGSTA" now that it's known that he is a dog.

I love Vanity Fair and have subscribed to their magazine for years (it's one of my regular Christmas gifts from my hubby) but they are truly tragic when it comes to how they portray minorities in their magazine.

Their annual "Hollywood" issue is doing damn good if they mention three actors of color within an entire issue. Take a look here - http://www.vanityfair.com/culture/features/2008/08/nextwave_portfolio200808?currentPage=1 And when they put Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton on their covers a few years ago, they just lost any claim to being "high brow" as far as I was concerned.

18. You know they searched high and low for a picture like this one....
why he stood his ass in front of the camera for this one is beyond me. Tiger was never popular for his muscles, as far as I know. This 'menacing' black man photo is a real trip. :eyes:

In the words of Fred Sanford....Big Dummy!

19. I sense a pattern

Tiger Woods

50 Cent

All Tiger is missing is the tattoos, grill, and bling, and he's that black guy that most love to hate--gangsta rapper man!

23. I saw that...!
Disturbing, isn't it?

Its as if now that at least a dozen (or more) women have come forward--the media can now paint Tiger in a new light...a "playa, thuggish" light. Not really sure how I feel about that.

But Tiger's got no one but himself to blame for the entire mess.

I don't know why Tiger ever thought he'd be able to. That's just not reality.
