200 Eustis, Story soldiers deploy to Iraq

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — About 200 troops from two Virginia Army bases deploy Wednesday for duty in Iraq.

The troops will be sent off at departure ceremonies at Fort Story in Virginia Beach and Fort Eustis in Newport News.

Fort Story’s 119th Inland Cargo Company will deploy to Balad, Iraq, for a year. The Fort Eustis unit being deployed is the 155th Inland Cargo Company.

Among their duties will be the loading and unloading of aircraft cargo.

A joint departure ceremony will be held Wednesday at Fort Eustis.
