2 soldiers die of non-combat cause in Iraq

BAGHDAD — The U.S. military says two American soldiers in Iraq have died of causes unrelated to combat.

The deaths were reported in separate statements that give few details.

The military says only that both soldiers died Sunday and were assigned to Multi-National Division — Center. That division operates south of Baghdad.

A statement said one of the soldiers died of wounds at a U.S. medical facility.

Both cases are under investigation. The names of the soldiers are being withheld until relatives are notified.
