Marines share interrogation tactics with NepalStaff report

A team of 75 Nepalese soldiers and seven Okinawa-based Marines met in Kathmandu on Sept. 1-13 for a subject-matter expert exchange.
This SMEE is the second of its kind in the past two years.
During the exercise, Nepalese army investigators and military police demonstrated for the Marines how they conduct investigations and use martial arts.
In turn, the Marines showed their counterparts shortcuts for handling fingerprints and how Marines conduct interrogations as well as close-quarter battle tactics, Marine Corps martial arts and techniques for observing the enemy.
Public affairs Marines were briefed on the history of Nepal’s army, along with political issues facing the country, including its recent election.
