LINCOLN, Neb. — Families and friends will get a chance to say farewell to about three dozen members of the Nebraska Air National Guard before their deployment overseas.
The 3 p.m. ceremony at the Guard’s dining hall on Sunday will include remarks from Brigadier General Tim Kadavy, the state’s adjutant general.
The Air Guard says its members are heading to several spots, including Iraq, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan and Germany, on a variety of missions. They will be gone about four months, although the mission lengths will vary, depending on what the U.S. Air Force needs.
The Guardsmen are members of various units assigned to the Lincoln-based 155th Air Refueling Wing.
