KABUL, Afghanistan — A roadside bomb killed two U.S.-led coalition soldiers in eastern Afghanistan, while a suicide bomber on a motorcycle attacked a border police patrol in the south, killing a policeman, officials said.
Clashes and another roadside bomb left 10 people dead elsewhere in the country.
In the eastern blast, a third U.S.-led coalition soldier was wounded when the bomb hit their vehicle Monday in Kot district of Nangarhar province, the coalition said in a statement. The military initially announced one soldier had died and two were wounded but later said one of the two injured had died.
The troops were responding to a call from local police who discovered another explosive device nearby, when the second bomb exploded, the statement said.
The nationalities of the dead and wounded soldiers were not released. The majority of troops in that area are American.
