| So, what are your plans for Yule? |
|
I'm learning to look at the seasons differently, so I'm open to reading little bits here and there. I was wondering what rituals you and your friends and family practice or observe coming up in 15 days. What have you adapted for practicality?

| 1. We do a dinner and a small family ritual at home on Yule |
|
I'm not part of a Coven at this time so we keep it small and private. And the kids get a present on that night also. I've been considering looking for a Coven in the area since I do miss the energy of a group, especially on Sabbats. Just not in a HPS capacity this time...I just don't have the energy.
Christmas eve I am heading over to some friends for a night of food and poker since the kids will be at their father's.

| 2. I'm still working on it. |

It's a ritual I'm tentatively calling the Shrouding of the Sun. I'll be formally dedicating myself to my goddess (She's the Lady of the Dark).
Living in the desert has put a new perspective on this stuff for me, though. It'll be interesting.

| 3. A group of us gather in the afternoon for a bit of ritual, then |

we head over to join a larger group for a basic party. We pretty much do the traditional 8 festivals together. More generic pagan than specifically wiccan or anything.

small southern Delta town (thanks to my DH's employment) and there is no one here. The group in Dallas has a large Yule party every year and lasts forever. Muggles come also, so no real ritual. Dallas is extremely Pagan friendly.
This year, nothing really because we really aren't sure where were gonna be.
I guess I should introduce myself. As my name states, I am a dedicant to Hestia and Pomona. Somebody's gotta keep the home fires burning, Illuminating the Darkness of our current quagmire. Pomona for the Bounty that we recieve each day from Her Orchard of Abundance. The cornucopia is her symbol, which is very apt.
My DH & I also study Hermeticism and are Light Workers. Believe it not, it all works out very well together.
I hope everyone has a very Merry and Cool Yule - Mithras is the reason for season!
Blessings,
Hestia
