October 19, 2009: The Orionid meteor shower peaks this week and it could be a very good show.

"Earth is passing through a stream of debris from Halley's Comet, the source of the Orionids," says Bill Cooke of NASA's Meteoroid Environment Office. "Flakes of comet dust hitting the atmosphere should give us dozens of meteors per hour."

1. Cool! We got a clear night tonight in Western Washington.

The electricty just came back on so after I warm up a bit I'll wonder outside to take a look see.

2. I am close to the base of the mountains here...

I tried to look but it was too foggy..I will try again tonight :)

Some high cloud cover came in right as I went out. I'll try again tonight. Oh, which mountians are by? Just wondering.

5. You know, for DUers we're pretty close together.

Maybe we could do an outing of some type before the weather sets in? Just a thought. This would all have to work with schedules, mine (I'm looking for work) my roommates, who would love this, and my roommates' husband who's a long haul trucker and wouldn't want to be left out. How's that for a troupe? Anyway, Wanna meet?

6. If you meet with me before the 29th ..

which will be the night my little group celebrates Samhain..then if you wanted to..on the 29th you could come to a real Samhain Celebration. Its going to be a costume night..and we will be honoring our ancestors..which I can explain all about it and the Dumb Feast (if you are not aware of what that is)..which will be on the 29th.
We didnt want to celebrate on halloween/Samhain itself as some of the ladies have children and need to be with them on that night.
Basically its a night to remember and honor our dead and our ancestors and then we just party :P cause it's also the Druidic New Year.
People have to either have attended one circle already or meet with me before hand (its our most sacred night and we dont want to have anyone be freaking out etc because they don't understand what is going on.)

If not and you just want to meet sometime..that is good too.:)
