My new boss is an atheist!

Whew! Sorry I haven't been here for a while. I just got back in the USA from Egypt on Saturday. I've been dealing with getting the tenants out of my house so I can move back in, arranging for stuff to come out of storage, etc. etc.

Like most of us today, I was a little worried about coming back to the US in this economy. Guess that was a groundless worry. I went into work on Monday and immediately got put on a project that's keeping me very busy so far.

And if I believed in omens, this would be a good one: my new boss announced out of the blue that he's an atheist.

That makes at least 3 of us I know just in my own department/area. There are probably others lurking, too.

I'll be back later when I'm a little more settled. Right now I'm living in a hotel with not-so-great internet service.

because the economy here isn't nearly as bad as it is in most places overseas. We're frightened here but most of us are still doing fairly well, even retired old crocks like me who've lost half our net worth.

The worst part is not knowing how bad it will get or what will be destroyed in the crash.

Your boss probably outed himself because your reputation preceded you.

4. I worked for a company...

that was vocally christian for over a year(in which i had to hold my tongue on many things), because I knew the dutch company I used to work for was going to buy it out. It was a relief when they did. The owner is vocally atheist, the rest seem to be at least agnostic.
