Thanks to my parents, from the first moment I took an interest in politics, I believed that most politicians were not to be trusted. "But at least", I thought, "they're intelligent and well-informed". I can't remember what incident set me right on this, but I do remember my reaction: "oh crap, we're being led by people who know less than me about a lot of stuff, and I'm just a kid! We're doomed!"
