like religious folks. Then again, maybe that's because they have just been up front about violence and hate, whereas most religious folks at least pretend a little.

Just compare! ICP lyrics:
Hot lava, snow, rain and fog, Long neck giraffes, and pet cats and dogs Fuckin' rainbows after it rains There's enough miracles here to blow your brains.
Great rap song of the past:
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens Brown paper packages tied up with strings These are a few of my favorite things...
At least John Coltrane fixed the latter song, when he did it as a 15-minute improv-instrumental and we didn't have to hear the lyrics.
I was ROFL'ing reading the interview, though. They obviously thought this was going to be their piece de resistance, their Thriller or Sgt. Pepper. And it was greeted with all the enthuiasm of a turd plopping in the punchbowl.
I loved this too:
"When I was a kid, they couldn't tell you how pyramids were made…"
He'd fit right into Certain Forums and Threads here on DU...

in Reasons To Be Cheerful, Pt. 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoOjtNs9EOk(and he put 'curing smallpox' in the list too. He was on our side :) )
