In response to which, someone else posts that there are no "athiests" in foxholes.

But then again, that's the nature of religion: tragedy is just a fantastic opportunity to exploit people's emotions.

thinking that he'll change his mind and help if they beg hard enough.

6. Or, like it always means, we can't really not believe in a personal god.

I mean, how can we possibly get up in the morning, go about our day and be productive members of society.

We just GOTTA believe... or we are just going through a rebellious phase.

Christians wail and moan that we don't "respect" their beliefs enough, yet time and again you see this patronizing attitude about atheism.
