Sorry-I missed it. Can't find a thread elsewhere. Did anyone watch it? How was it? Any surprises? How about a review....

It was, um, scary to see how some of the actors had aged. I had watched Ron Howard lose his hair, and Henry Winkler grow grey and middle-aged, but a white-haired Donny Most?
It seemed to be mostly about softball.

| 2. Donny Most looked like the Ghost of Donny Most |

Not only is he completely white-headed, but he was dressed all in white. It was really strange.
Scott Baio looked like he wanted to be anywhere else but on the set with those people. Garry Marshall even made a joke about his distance, which didn't seem to go over very well.
All in all, though, it was kind of neat to see the old clips of the show. I was once again asking myself: Why, if this show took place in the 1950s, did everyone have '70s haircuts and clothes?
Biggest surprise of the evening: the reemergence of the two Chucks, the actors that played Richie's and Joanie's older brother that vanished without a trace after the first couple of episodes.

I laughed and smiled all the way through it. Yes, it was sappy, but it brought back lots of fond memories for me... like how I wanted to grow up and be Pinky Tuscadero!LOL! It left me wanting to go buy the series if I can find it anywhere.
I thought the background info was interesting too... how the show didn't make it at first, until after American Grafitti was a big hit, and then suddenly the network was looking to capitalize on that.
They all seemed to get along really well, and it was fun hearing them talk about past times and all. I wish I could have taped it so I could watch it again.

A lot of it was filler. I did like seeing Noriyuki (Pat) Morita again - even though he's been actively acting it's been awhile since I caught him in anything.
