NYPD Blue

ooooooh, this is my first post! I'm all a tingle.

I have not seen any discussion of the end of NYPD Blue. Any fans in here. Just trying to see what people think about these final episodes.

A friend and I have different opinions about what will happen next week. He thinks Andy will get fired, and I think he will continue as the boss of the squad.

I love this show and am sad to see it leaving.

1. I have not watched in years

I was a huge fan in the beginning. I stopped around the Jimmie Smits' death story line. I hear this season is pretty good. My wife watches it.

I am really bummed that it is ending after all these years...I am glad to see that Andy finally is reaping the rewards of his life lessons...

It's a shame that they are choosing to end it with Andy at the helm...the following full season with him in charge would have been very interesting...

4. But will they

I have the feeling that they may take this somewhat like a greek tragedy. He will be fired at the end. The twist on the tragedy will be that he will be fired for taking a moral stand so that it is actually a comedy, i.e. we have seen him mature over the years from a moral reprobat to a morally upstanding person.

OK, I may be thinking too hard; I'm an English teacher :shrug:

5. I missed it this week

Had the VCR set to tape it, but the boneheads at the local ABC station decided to air a college basketball game instead. If someone could fill me in on what happened I would be very grateful!

6. I love it

I've never missed an episode. I think Andy will go out as the boss but not before he locks horns with the powers-that-be.
