Does anyone watch the show? It's on Monday nights on BBC America. It's an excellent show about a psychological profiler. I wish I had his powers of perception.

That's what I do when faced with thick accents of any sort.
I like Wire in the Blood a lot, and I can recommend the books of Val McDermid, on which the series is based (although not all her books feature these characters).
