I thought that was a wonderful Amazing Race. I am a black woman and I know how hard it must have been for Joyce to get her head shaved, but she looked beautiful. I cannot believe that Meredith and Gretchen have made it this far (hats off to them for being the oldest couple to make it that far in the race).

I actually like all of the teams, with the exception of Rob and Amber (an old Survivor thing), but R&A are certainly on their game. I have absolutely no clue what Kelly meant when she tells Ron that he used being a POW to end his commitment with the Army-- HUH????? I have a feeling that the next commitment Ron breaks will be any he has made to Kelly.

Oh well, the final weeks should be interesting.

1. My takes

First off, was I the only one who thought the whole "Phil's not a pitstop" thing seemed to be a last minute thing (like plans had to be changed), that it didn't really seem to flow?

Yes, Joyce looks great without hair. Was I the only one that felt they got RIPPED by not getting any cruise or anything for being in first place?

Kelly's crack about not being committed to anything / POW will be on NEXT week's show, so I hope that it was somehow taken out of context rather than the ABSOLUTE MOST STUPID THING I'VE EVER HEARD.

UNLIKE last season, at LEAST in THIS season, the final teams have distinct characters and personalities. Last season, the final three teams were the ones with the least amount of personality, and in the end I really didn't care who won.

2. The only thing I can think about the first place prize is....

they don't give them when you take the fast forward. I was trying to remember why Ray and Deanna didn't get a prize for coming in first when they did. So I waited to see if U & J would get one after using the fast forward and they didn't. So maybe that's the reason.

5. They did get a prize

Ray and Deana got cars when they used their Fast Forward. Tons of people were outraged that a FF leg would give a prize.

Now that Uchenna and Joyce have won a FF and not been given a prize, tons of people are outraged that a FF leg wouldn't give a prize.

Go figure.

I seem to recall at least one. Could have been last season.

Last season was the only season which had a prize given for every single leg.

3. She's beautiful! I figured she would do it....

because they made a point of mentioning her head scarf earlier in the show. She has some amazing eyes, doesn't she? I love her attitude!

she has such a pretty, expressive face, and having no hair just makes it the focus. Uchenna was sooooooo sweet to her while she was getting shaved. he's quite a cutie pie himself!

I really want them to win. I hate Rob and Amber, and the others I just don't care about. The only ones I really root for are Joyce and Uchenna.

7. Joyce is indeed gorgeous

and I was shocked that they didn't get a prize for being first. Gretchen's whiny tone of voice is really grating on my nerves. And what about that Kelly? What a piece of work!! I loved how she referred to her ass as her "bottom." Next week should be excellent with that interchange between Kelly and Ron. Incidentally, I read that Rob and Amber married this past weekend in the Bahamas - the wedding will be broadcast in May - it will go head to head with one of the last episodes of American idol. ( I feel no burning need to see the nuptials)

9. Joyce is beautiful

both inside and out, with or without hair. I hope that either Uchenna & Joyce win or Rob & Amber. Cheers to Meredith and Gretchen for making it that far but they get on my nerves. Ron & Kelly are insulting to each other plus after bragging on voting for chimp I can't tolerate them, I would hate for those repukes to win. :puke:
