Wow, what a leg! I have to admit I got teary-eyed when Lena and Kristy were eliminated...Lena was such a trooper, and her sister was so supportive. There is some real love with those two and I am sad to see them go.

I loved those two. I can't stand the wrestling woman, or Jonathan, or Horn Boy... So many other people who should have left.
I can't believe she was at that for 8.5 hours. Poor girl. :(

100+ bales? I think she was tired and the way she was shifting the hay around she may have buried some clues without even realizing it.
Damn, first the Brooklynites and now these two...I just hope Don and MJ make it next week (even though I kind of lost respect for Don for trying to play the old card in IKEA).

MJ's cool, but Don annoys me.
I'm loving on Gus and Hera right now. And waiting for the half-dozen identical young teams to winnow down some before I can tell them apart.
I despise Jonathon. Just despise him. What a jerk. You don't treat anybody like that, especially someone you claim to love.
I believe this is the first time Phil has come out to call off a challenge. It's a shame, and very sad, but at least they didn't leave the girls out there all night.

| 4. I don't think this is a first time for Phil |
|
depending on how specific you are being the event. It was either the first or second season when Team Guido (a gay couple that named their team after their dog) finished as Team 3 over all. I believe it was a cameraman or someone that stopped them and told them the first two teams had already finished the race. And then there is the team that quit in Egypt (?) due to a knee problem and Phil came out there. That one isn't quite the same though.

| 6. Gus and Hera are my favorites too |

I can't tell most of the couples apart except for the wrestlers and Jonathan and Victoria and that is because those four scream and fight all the time. x( I swear I really thought that Jonathan was actually going to punch Victoria.

I did love how one of the men (Aaron was it? I can't tell any of these generic "dating model" teams apart) told Jonathan to shut up in IKEA. Hopefully it's only a matter of time before someone confronts him about his obvious abuse of his wife. And I hope the other teams are staging interventions with Victoria at the pit stops. That incident in the cab really looked to me like a situation where he would have hit her were it not for the camera crew sitting there. She even had the flinch, as if that's what she were expecting. Of course he probably hits her, I mean what kind of asshole hits his wife in the head with a trunk and doesn't look the least bit concerned about it? I mean, most humans when they accidentally hurt someone are, well, worried about the person's welfare and show some kind of concern. He didn't bat an eyelash, which tells me all I need to know about him.
On a happier note, my respect for Gus and Hera goes up with each episode, but I'm REALLY worried they won't make it that far. They seem to be really great at handling the tasks (Gus got the booze curling thing in the Ice Bar in one try and they owned that desk in IKEA) but I'm not too impressed with their speed/navigation skills. I think that's what's going to do them in at the end. :(
Speaking of IKEA...wow, talk about an obvious choice. Who the hell in their right mind would choose counting?! I know a lot of people for some reason are intimidated by putting together IKEA furniture, I dunno why because half the furniture in my room is IKEA stuff and really it's not hard. The instructions have a bare minimum of text, they are just pictures, and if you sort your pieces when you start off there's really no way you can fuck it up. I got a C in shop class in high school for crying out loud and I have no problems putting IKEA stuff together, especially the desks.
I'm also kind of baffled as to why the people that were counting tried to count everything one at a time. Maybe it's because I've worked retail and have had to do inventories IRL, but you never count that many little items one a time. You have to attack it with a methodical plan. What I would have done was count by 2s and separate them into piles of 10. Then count the piles. So many little things can go wrong counting that many items (as we saw) that you can't just go at it willy nilly, you need to have a plan and even then you can fuck up. Even if I did pick counting as soon as I saw those bins I would have been like fuck it, I'm building the desk. 'Cause let's face it, even if you count properly and get the number right the first time, that's a LOT of counting to do. Building the desk would be quicker IMO.

I really think that Don wanted the IKEA employee to just hand him the clue because he was old, I didn't like that. x(

| 13. That's what I thought too. Plus, it looked like she spent more time |
|
digging through the bales rather than rolling them out. The others seemed to find theirs just by rolling them. I felt really bad for her, but I think she HAD to have missed the clues in there somehow. Nobody has that much bad luck!

even though I was really neutral in my feelings toward them during the first couple episodes. I think the fact that they spent 8+ hours looking through hay bales and watching team after team pass them just frustrated the heck out of me.
Everyone is talking about grandpa (I'm bad with names) at Ikea -- I couldn't hear what he was saying because my parakeet kept singing too loudly but now that I know I am really disappointed in him. Hopefully it was only a moment of idiocy due to being tired. On the other hand, if Jonathan doesn't lose soon, my brain will explode.

| 10. I'm trying to give Don the benefit of the doubt |
|
He was clearly not in his right mind when he said that. I don't think he really thought the IKEA girl would give him a free pass just 'cause he was old. I think he was just mentally exhausted and really frustrated after fucking up so many times. Still, things happen on the race and no matter how old you are you need to suck it up and deal with it. But I do understand where he was coming from, which is why I don't hate him entirely.
As for Ass-athan, the only reason I want him in this game is to watch the inevitable meltdown that's going to happen with him. With this schmuck it's only a matter of time before we get an immortal moment of ox-breaking proportions. :P I just hope he doesn't bring his wife down in it.

What a horrible way to be eliminated. She worked her butt off. She was out there for something like 6 hours, unrolling and searching through those bales non-stop.

I just read on another board that Jonathon has popped up on a website claiming that he was "just playing a role" on the show.
Yeah, and your Emmy is on the way...

What a trooper! Hats off!
But those two old folk bugged the crap out of us. Because they definitely deserved to get booted off, with grandpa s whining about their age as an excuse for not being able to count...?
It was pathetic. And in the scenese from next week's episode they have grandpa bawling. I *hate* that sappy, crying stuff! Anyone else feel this way?
I might have had some sympathy if this were a physical task but then, if you're going to participate in this show, you need to prepare yourself physically and those two just weren't.
And, of course, we loathe Jonathan. What a creep. My husband wants to kick his ass and I want to kick *her* ass for staying with him! *lol*
