Monk...does anyone here watch Monk?

What do you think of the current season? I've not really been paying attention but I hope the writing is better this season than last.

1. I missed most of the last couple of seasons

I think this season has been slightly better.

It's not much of a detective/mystery show anymore, but it still can be really funny.

2. I just got into the show last year courtesy of

my roommate. He liked the show and thought I would as well. He was too right.


I wish the writers would make it more of a mystery show but I guess they are going for the comedy around Monk's various phobias and obsessions.

3. Yeah, they were struggling to write good mysteries

So I really think it's good that they stick with what they're good at.

Every scene with the therapist is absolute GOLD.

4. I love Monk. Sometimes I am disappointed with the story but

I always love Mr. Monk. And those 2 other detectives can be pretty funny also.

5. I watch it all the time!

I liked the episode where he was temporarily blind, so it didn't bother him to get dirty! He reminds me of an updated Columbo...
