Odd project Runway question

Is Michael gay? I can't get a total read on him. If he isn't then there is no gay person in the final four which would be a Project Runway first. Both of the previous winners were gays. Not terribly relevent but just curious.

I figured he was straight and then he would do something like call himself a mama's boy and then I would think maybe he is gay. He is hard to tell.
