| Heroes gets one more week from me..... |
|
...and then I'll make my mind up as to whether I want to watch it anymore...The teasers are coming too slow and I am starting to get frustrated at the snail's pace of the storyline development...
It is intriguing no doubt, but it is maddening trying to figure out how the pieces fit together with so many twists and turns....

This isn't highbrow stuff, it's just a way to unplug my brain for a while every Monday night.

and in January they're adding another actor to the show. I'm pretty excited that it's Christopher Eccleston and that they're keeping mum on his character, only saying that he's had his powers longer than the rest.
I was getting a bit bored but after I heard that I now know I'll be tuning in. He starts in January.

I'll find the link. http://www.tvguide.com/News-Views/Columnists/Ask-Ausiello/default.aspx?columndate=15-Nov-2006There are others out there but this is the first one I can find. Also, George Takei (yep, Sulu!) has already filmed an episode. Turns out he's Hiro's father.

Sylar has been announced and it's not him, though it would have been a great role for him.
Supposedly Sylar will be played by Zach Quinto but I've never read official confirmation. Another article I read about Eccleston said that his character has had his powers for a long time and will be able to help the fellow heroes, if they want the help.

I like this show and I've had a bit of a crush on Eccleston for a number of years now. (Don't ask-I usually don't crush on the pretty boys.) The two together w/ some Sulu thrown in for good measure-this show will be fantastic!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_EcclestonI've been in love w/ this man for years-I think it's the ears. I first saw him in Shallow Grave and have had a bit of a crush ever since. He's better known in the UK.

I think I remember him from a Poirot episode.
I'm liking Heroes. The hour goes by amazingly fast.

He's done quite a bit of television in the UK but has made a fair share of movies also, most of which can be rented stateside.

And I found it totally confusing and yes, slow, and I decided not to bother with it. It is evidently striking a chord with some people as it has gotten darn good press, but I have no tolerance for shows that leave me feeling puzzled or stupid after I've watched something. At least with the CSI shows and those like them, they don't condescend to the watchers, but immediately assume you are an intelligent person who already has the basic grasp of all things forensic.
It does appear that some shows do have their nose in the air, but I've found most of those leave a bad taste in my brain if I watch them at all.
