2nd Season of Showtime's 'Dexter' starting Sunday, Sept. 30th

at 9PM/EST. I got hooked last season, and have just finished watching the re-run of Season 1, all ready for Season 2!! I love Michael C. Hall, who plays Dexter. I first saw him in 'Six Feet Under', and thought he was great. When I heard he would be starring in 'Dexter', of course, I had to watch. I think the series is innovative and well-written. I've heard Season 2 is going to be a bit of a departure from the books the series is based on. But so far, the writers have kept me interested and I expect Season 2 will continue to do so.

And love books, too. I can't imagine the storyline in Dearly Devoted Dexter on screen. The ending is horrendous, and it would really take out a main player in the show. I can't wait to see what the new season holds in store for us.

2. I thought about reading the books, to see how closely the series

paralleled them, but after I looked at the first one, I decided to just watch the show. I didn't want to know how it was 'supposed' to end. The show is SO good, that even if it departs from the books, I will still enjoy it that way! I saw the previews last week, about this season, and it kind of intimated that the next serial killer they are looking for is Dexter! His bodies start showing up... should be interesting!! :hi:

5. I don't get showtime

but a friend turned me on to the show and I received my first DVD from netflix a couple days ago. I have watched the first two show and I'm hooked. Great premise. Love the protagonist as bad guy. Very compelling. The books are going on to my list of things to read, albeit very far down on an over-worked English teachers list of shit I wish I had time to read.
