I was sad to see Jonathon go. also, the failure to oust Ozzy or Cirie was a bit of a let down. Though it would have been one of the biggest coups in the history fo the show to oust Ozzy, I am glad he stayed. I like him a lot and would not mind seeing him win it all. Seeing Jonathan leave made me sad. even Jeff knew it was not what should have happened. He was playign a good game and may have done really well.
I liked the barriaced chalenge. It was fun to see the two teams go at it. Ozzy gave them a great lead int eh water. Jonathan held up really well. He gave it his all and dragging his ass through with the bum leg made me like him, which is tough because he is such a dick. Ami was in a good position until last night. She should have gone after Cirie and gotten to Chet better. I guess it would not have mattered, but teh Ozzy move may have ben harder for him to takle than the Cirie move. I hope Jason realizes he has been had at some poitn with the idol. I mean it looks pretty sad. It will be funny to see him play it. Gotta give Airai props for carrying Eliza and Parvati the way they did. That was not even close.
Overall, Chet deserved to go. I hate players who just give up. How he made ti through as a fan I will never know.

1. Ozzy would have been blown away

As much as I want to see him stay, that would have been a brilliant move! It might have been the best chance to get rid of such a strong player. But we don't see everything so it was probably very clear to them all before tribal that Chet was leaving. The suspense was edited in just for us.
I, too, was sad to see Jonathan go. He was playing extremely well and had a great shot at winning. Such a shame for him.
But his tribe was awesome in the challenge. They deserved that win based on engineering alone.
This game has a long way to go! I'm liking this season a lot.

had they ousted Ozzy. He is such a force. Jonathon was in a very good position. I could have see him ousting the lovers and going into the merge very strong. He is a smart player and a strong guy. I feel like he was not outwitted, outplayed or outlasted, he just got beat by an infection. Sort of like Miek Skupin in Outback. Oh well. He was right, it was fun while it lasted.
This has been the best season since Stephanie's first season.

I always hope for someone to shake things up. Even if it means losing someone I like, if it is something not predictable I love it. Chet annoyed me but I really wanted to see what would happen if Cirie or Ozzy went. I'm rooting for Ami now -- or I was before this episode but right now I am still frustrated she didn't make that move. And what the heck was up with Chet and (don't know her name) voting for Erik? Where did that come from? That's what it looked like they wrote down.
I was so sad to see Jonathan go. I always feel so bad for people that leave due to an injury. Besides, I liked Jonathan's voice. I always felt like I was listening to Alan Alda.
That idol that Ozzy made is even more pathetic than the first time I saw it. I thought for sure Jason would start to say to himself, "this cannot be real". It's a stick with a happy face carved in it! If he's such a fan, he must have watched Yau-man make a fake idol!

4. I don't understand Chet's thinking

What did he have to lose by going along and voting Ozzy off? It would make no difference to him, but could have made a big difference to his friends. The only thing I can think of is he didn't want to go down in Survivor history as the guy who got rid of Ozzy. That's the ONLY thing that makes sense. The guy was a loser til the end -- had he done that one tiny heroic thing for his friends, it would have compensated for his other faults, imho.
Of course, from the tribe's perspective, it would have been a death blow -- can you imagine that team without Ozzy???
Chet (or any player) can opt to leave at any time, so he could have resigned right after the vote.
Why didn't he?
Also, I recall in a past season, somebody had to be taken off for medical care, but they returned, if I'm not mistaken. I wonder why Jonathan couldn't have had his wound treated and then returned? Just cut it open, clean it out, stitch it up and give him massive antibiotics -- and see what happens.
Ozzy was a bit too self confident at that tribal, it reminded me very much of James' fatal flaw when he had the idol(s!) and didn't use em. Ozzy was a hair away from repeating that massive blunder.
And yeah, the pitiful sham idol -- doesn't everyone remember YauMan's strategy? Fan indeed, I think not.

I think he wanted to go home, or at least to the hotel where teh cast-offs hang out. He was tired of sleeping in the rain and cold. What did he have to lose, comfort! I agree, he was a loser til the end.
I think Jonathon's medical treatment was gonna take more than a day. If the infection was as bad as she let on, he will be in a bed for several days with high dose antibiotics.

6. yeah, my cat had a puncture wound

and even though he didn't need surgery (was close to it), it took a week of daily shots, daily flushings, and daily oral antibiotics for him to get better.

9. I know he wanted to go home, but what I don't get is

why didn't he just wait until after the vote, to tell Jeff he wanted out?
That way, his parting shot is a gift to his friends. He couldn't even muster that. That's what was so pathetic.

7. I've never been so glad to see my pick go home

Chet was about as worthless as they come. I watched him during the challenges and he just stood around or made some feeble attempt to act like he was helping. WORTHLESS!!!!!!!! I was sad to see Jonathan go home-- as much as I didn't like him the last time around, he was really growing on me. He played the game well and probably would have gone far if he had stuck around. Oh well, I guess those are the breaks.

It was a big mistake for them to get rid of Joel last week-- they really could have used him in this week's challenges.
