Amazing Race 12/14 *SPOILERS*

I'm actually kind of glad Don and Mary Jean were eliminated. I didn't think they had much of a chance to win the entire thing, but it was good to see them tough it out for so long.

They need to address the abuse thing with Jonathan. Once again Jonathan put his hands on his wife and this time it was right in front of Phil. All Phil said to Jonathan was that he needed to go talk to Victoria. The producers should have stopped the taping and said you all are eliminated from the game and Jonathan you are going to jail for domestic abuse.

1. a lot of these teams suck

I love the amazing race, but I'm hating some of these teams. It's painful to watch Jonathan. You're right, he needs to be arrested.

Like you, I have mixed feelings about Don and MJ being eliminated. I liked them, but they were lousy at the game. If you are going to be physically weak, you have to at least be clever.

Kendra is a prissy, racist airhead. Adam is a whiney pain in the ass.

I like Gus and Hera. Who's left? The pretty team with the brunette woman who isn't Kendra and the pretty team with the blond woman? The pretty team with the blond woman is okay.

2. That's twice Jonathan has battered his wife on camera

Not counting one other time when he almost smacked her, but stopped when he remembered the camera was on him. That shit has just got to stop.

Glad to see Don and Mary Jean are gone. They just weren't cut out for it, and frankly Don worried me in every episode.

I'm rooting for either Gus and Hera or Kris and Jon to go all the way. They are the nicest to each other, the nicest and most polite to the locals, and the only ones that continually exhibit a sense of humor about the whole thing.

Favorite bit this episode: Bolo speaking to the Berliners with a German accent, as if that somehow enhances German understanding of English.

And is it just me, or does Victoria have "prizefighter's face"? I'd like to see some pre-Jonathan pictures of her.

3. This episode was traumatic for me

Seeing Victoria crying/screaming at the end terrified me. I lived with a physically/emotionally/sexually abusive man for 4 years. He would never have lost his temper in public like Jonathan. Victoria's terror made me cold all the way to the center of my body. And it was all over getting SECOND place versus first. When he threatened her about if they didn't get first (I don't remember the exact words), it was so horrifying. He didn't sound like it was an empty threat a couple might say to each other while angry yet never mean it. She was scared.

And the comment by the model (?) about the people of Senegal needing to stop reproducing!?!?! What a bitch!!!! Why doesn't she buy birth control pills and distribute them to the women that want to quit having children? I can think of another word for her that I won't say (hint: four letters and starts with a "c").

As for my opinion on Don and Mary Jean, I liked her a whole lot but felt fairly neutral about him. He complained about his age too much and they wouldn't have lasted once Mary Jean got her 6 Detours done.

4. I have to believe

that something's going to happen with Jonathon and Victoria. It just has to, or they'd be editing it differently, trying to hide the bullshit.

8. Her screaming and crying toward the finish

was so horrifying and heart wrenching. She needs to get away from Johnathan fast, and she needs help. I agree with Laz, and think they probably end up getting kicked off the show at some point. I just hope she watches this and realizes she needs to leave him and get help. I hope that family and friends who may not have been aware of the abuse see this and help her.

6. I'm glad they are gone too

It seemed like they were just going through the motions, knowing they'd be gone.

Jonathan is absolutely appalling to Victoria. I wish Phil had thrown them out of the race. I have read that on Survivor that they will throw anyone out who hits someone -- TAR should do the same.

God, I hate Kendra too. What a sheltered racist bitch.

I guess I am rooting for Gus/Hera and Kris/Jon. Most of the others don't bother me too much.

7. Since I'm a male I can't call

Kendra a bitch, but it does seem an appropriate description.:) Don and Mary, glad to see them gone. Actually didn't care for either of them. Jonathan should be kicked off the show and CBS should volunteer to pay for some very serious counseling for both Jonathan and his wife. He's got some big time issues he needs to deal with....one of which might be jail, unless he can learn to control his temper.

9. I'm a woman and I'll do it for you

KENDRA IS A RACIST BITCH AND NEEDS TO DIE. :nuke: I didn't think white people could act worse in a foreign country than Colin & Christie did in the Philippines last season ("Run them over!"), but by god Kendra managed it somehow. I seriously wanted to reach through the TV and choke the shit out of her. Ignorant yuppie bitch. And oh-so-typical for her type. Wasn't she the one who went "let's say a prayer" when they were at the slave house laying the roses (which, btw, I thought was really poignant). God I hate her.

Man, I was just all about the hate in this episode. Between her and her neutered boyfriend and the equally obnoxious Hayden/Aaron with whom they've aligned themselves (sense of entitlement much? Way to Bolo for laying the smackdown on them for trying to cut in line), not to mention Assathan's latest wife-abusing antics...Jesus. I hope they all get Philiminated, except Assathan who just needs to fucking go to jail for spousal abuse.

On a happier note, again I found myself warming up to Rebecca...her snarky little comments are just bringing the funny. :) And I'm totally in love with Gus and Hera, who are just so adorable. Gus was cracking my shit up the whole time they were in the bar...especially when he tried to trick Hera into leaving so he could sneak a drink, LOL. They have such a great relationship and regardless of what happens in the race, you can tell that just running it is bringing them closer together. I really wish them all the best.

Don and MJ was sad but pretty much expected. This week was a bit more suspenseful than last week though due to the Lori/Bolo fuckup. MJ in the soapbox was funny though. :)

10. Appalling episode

I was so repulsed by the hateful remarks from Kendra, made me :puke: and Jonathan :mad:! Sickening the way that guy physically assaulted his wife right on camera. :wtf: I thought I had imagined it so I ran the tape back and yeah he actually did! :grr: Jonathan should be eliminated, I don't see how they can allow that kind of thing!

I am so wanting Gus and Hera to win, they seemed to be the nicest people in the race. :thumbsup: There are a couple other couples that are OK but I am having a hard time telling one from another. :shrug:
