Is anybody else watching this?
So far, this is season is kinda meh for me. Too much stupid going on. Even the cowboys, who are running away with it, made that massive mistake with the currency early on. It seems that tptb cast Jordan/Jeff and Miss Teen South Carolina and decided to make sure everyone else was on their intellectual level.
The tasks this week were at least tougher than the tasks last week. And Patagonia is gorgeous, we're actually talking about vacationing there one of these years.

I'm glad they were cast and I'm glad they're still in it. I like how the editors are using them for comic relief.
I wonder if any of the places they visited in Chile suffered badly from the quake.

| 3. My favorite show of the genre |
|
I have no idea who Jordan and Jeff are/were but they are fun to watch. I'm having a tough time getting wrapped up in the teams this season, though. Not sure why. No one team is jumping out at me as being able to run away with a win although the cowboys are doing pretty well. And Miss South Carolina was a dodo and I can't imagine she's much different now.

are from Big Brother. I don't watch that show anymore, but apparently, Jordan won, and she's even dumber than Miss Teen South Carolina. She didn't know what a quarter to twelve means. Can't read a clock. Etc.

They keep their cool and crack jokes during the challenges. Did you hear them joking about the gnome's poker face? And they joked about the trophy, too, making a mock acceptance speech.
Watch the team that came in second, Steve and Allie. They are father and daughter. Steve is a MLB third base coach. That team is pretty good, and they are under the radar so far. I like Steve's comments, too. His daughter asked him if he was okay, or if he was hurting. He said, "I am 57 years old. Everything hurts."
The Amazing Race is my favorite reality show, too. I have given up on many of the others. With some of them, I don't even make it through one entire season.

That leg didn't go so well for them. I'm interested in seeing how they rebound from the couple of mistakes they made.
It figures that the detectives would do well on the eat/drink leg.

I like Steve and Allie, too. They have gotten very little face time. Maybe they are too nice and non-controversial. But they come in second consistently!
If either the detectives, or the cowboys or the father-daughter team win, I will be happy.
Joe and Heidi would never have finished, even if they had not been U-turned. How could he have ridden a bicycle four miles with that knee? And Joe was annoying, bragging about how they were beating other teams, even with his bum knee. Other than that, I liked Joe and Heidi. I would not have minded seeing them stick around for awhile longer.
I don't think team Big Brother will be around much longer. They are hapless.

seems fairly firmly attached to the bottom of the rankings. I see them going the next two legs.
I'm happy with the top three, and I think that's how it'll turn out.
I did have a problem with this leg's not having a road block, and having such a lopsided detour. There was not much position changing except from the Cowboys and Joe|Heidi, and J|H needed a UTurn to fall out.
I agree with you that Joe wasn't likely to finish the race, as swollen as his knee was. Was that the knee the cow kicked? I can't remember.

and honestly, they deserved to be eliminated, Jordan seems to be not really into it. Well, after all, she already won the big bucks on Big Brother, so it's really Jeff who wants to win this. But I think he's carrying dead weight, unless she shapes up soon.
I could not believe that they couldn't get the Morse code thing! And they just gave up! Unreal.

I like the detectives, and was glad to see them in first. They and the cowboys are my favorites. I like Steve and Allie, too.
I am glad team Big Brother was eliminated this time. They haven't been playing well or with any conviction. And I agree with you about Miss South Carolina. I hope she goes next week.

The Beauty Queen (gag) has got to go. Once she's gone, I hope the best team wins and I don't really have a favorite.

They ran a near-flawless leg. After the initial taxi-mess, they just flew threw that leg. Helped that they handled that Detour so easily. Athletes are athletes, after all. I have a feeling they'd have done the other Detour almost as quickly.
I'm getting tired of the way Brent and Caite say "the lesbians" with such venom.
Sad to see the father/daughter team go, but I never really got to know them, so meh.

although Carol/Brandy seriously brought the ugly, didn't they? Don't like either team, or the cops.
Ice cream on bread? Weird.
The not-Cowboy brothers are growing on me. Minimal drama, which I like.
The pitch counter was genius. It goes on the list with a calculator of things one must take on the race. Can't believe that was allowed.
Cowboys for the win! No drama, good communication, unfailingly polite to the locals, just a great team all around. A real pleasure to watch race.

or the cops. The cowboys have been inconsistent but when they have been good they have been great. The cops have, after a terrible start, been great. The lesbian team was consistently above average but never great.
